Boudoir Photo Shoot Outfits for Fall/Winter 2019
Unsure of what to wear for your upcoming boudoir photo shoot?
This is maybe the number one question I’m asked before any session. “What do I bring??” While I don’t believe you HAVE to shop for your boudoir shoot, it is sometimes nice to have an excuse to enjoy something new in the wardrobe.
Take a couple minutes to take my Boudoir Personality Quiz to see what your lingerie style is and then come back so we can talk about the results…
What did you think?
Were the pieces suggested some things you could see yourself wearing?
If not, feel free to peruse the rest of the personalities here and maybe find something that inspires you!
When I made this quiz, I thought about the kind of gals that I’ve worked with over the years. I have worked with gals who are sweet and want pretty and feminine style shots, and some gals who are fierce and want full on bombshell photos! I love working with these kinds of gals and everyone in between because it keeps my job fun when I get to see your personality shine through the lens.
Shopping
These days there are lots of different places to find beautiful, flattering lingerie for any body type and price point. I know we all think Victoria’s Secret as the first stop and they do have some beautiful pieces of lingerie, but lately I’ve been loving what I see from the smaller designers. One of my favorite places to find these smaller lingerie houses is (surprisingly) Nordstrom. Online they carry a pretty large range of sizes, styles and colors that tend to stay around the same price point (and often times lower) than trusty old Victoria’s Secret.
This fall you’ll see that a lot of my selections flatter multiple different boudoir styles and come from the Nordstrom website. I also like Nordstrom because they do carry a lot of these items in store if you are the kind of person who prefers to try before you buy.
Plus Size
We’ve come a long way just in the last couple years as far as finding beautiful lingerie pieces across the spectrum of sizes. I’ve been really impressed by the website Hips and Curves recently. Not only do they offer a wide selection of pieces, they are often in an affordable price range and the quality is pretty good! The downside is that they are online only, but they do have a good return policy.
Lots of retailers are catching on to providing for the fuller figured gals. Amazon, Nordstrom, Fenty, and loads of independent shops are stocking pretty little things for a full range of sizes.
Do This!!
The one thing I will say about buying something new for your boudoir shoot if it’s a gift for your sexy someone is that the SEXIEST thing you could do when your partner sees the photos for the first time is whisper in their ear that you’re wearing that lingerie under your clothes. Right. Now.
That’s some Cosmo level sexy advice, right??
Do it and I swear they’ll be turned on for a full month.
Happy shopping for your new, sexy, boudoir photo shoot outfit!
xx,
